Piering Done

Looks like the Piering is finished.

Only area I'm not sure of is, on the pad just in front of the dunny. There

Is an area essentially the front hallway that doesn't have piers. Might not be needed.

This large one at the front we believe had to be dug deeper after reports that the soil was wetter than expected. They dug a bit further down and the engineer was happy. 

Water pipe broken on the mains side (Fixed in 1 Day)

Got a call from our SS yesterday asking where our water meter was. Surprise to us, so I took a drive to site and found the meter as pipe work had been broken off and pinced over.

Once I got to site they had found the meter

We can only suspect it was done while the heavy machinery was onsite todo the pad work. From my time lapse video I can see a skid steer bobcat working in the area.

Today the SS had the plumbers onsite to freeze and mend the connection. So we are back in action.

Pad work for the slab completed

We can start to see the basic outline of the house now.

A few updates from the last week (January 9th to 15th)

Around 9th Jan the peg out was done for levels with 4 stakes and survey points put around the property

Around 13th Jan the initial fill delivery for the pad was delivered and a start was made on shaping it.

15th Jan - more fill was delivered. After speaking with the dump truck driver he suggested that the pad would be finished tomorrow (16th)

Builders fence and signage up!

All starting to come together for the initial site preparation. Still waiting for our demolisher to remove their fence.
